.SYNOPSIS...Near-normal daytime temperatures continue through the
weekend, with breezy northwest winds on Saturday, especially near
the New Mexico border. A dry cold front arrives Monday and brings
gusty northerly winds and colder temperatures. Winds then drop off
a bit, with some warming for the rest of the week.

.DISCUSSION...Our relentless pattern, characterized by high
amplitude ridging in the eastern Pacific and a deep, broad trough
over the eastern third of the United States, rolls on. Periodic
s/wvs moving around the ridge will bring us more very dry air and
bursts of windier conditions, along with average to below average
temperatures. One such wave brings gusty NW winds to the eastern
zones on Saturday, with another wave bringing colder air and gusty
north winds to most areas for Monday/Tuesday.

Tonight features clearing skies and cold temperatures, although some
persistent southwesterly flow may keep places from fully radiating.
Our current overnight lows are riding a bit above MOS guidance and
with those winds, this looks good, Really nothing else to talk
about, no updates this evening.

.AVIATION...Saturday 18/06Z through Sunday 19/06Z...Expect VFR
conditions. Sfc winds generally W-SW5-10kts overnight, higher along
and SE of a KSOW-KRQE line. Sfc winds generally NW10-20kts west of
Apache County AFT 16Z-18Z Saturday, but NW15-25g30-35kts over Apache
County. Winds becoming light N-NE Saturday evening, locally gusty
immediately SW of higher terrain.

OUTLOOK...Sunday 19/06Z through Tuesday 21/06Z...Expect VFR
conditions. Daytime sfc winds SW-W10-20kts on Sunday and turning
to N-NE10-20g25kts on Monday.

.FIRE WEATHER...Saturday and Sunday...Dry conditions. Saturday will
see northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph for most locations, except 15 to
25 mph, gusting from 30 to 35 mph over the eastern zones. Winds then
become light Saturday night and then southwest through west 10 to 15
mph for Sunday. Daytime temperatures remaining near seasonal normals.

Monday through Wednesday...Dry weather will continue. A dry cold
front will deliver gusty northerly winds and colder temperatures on
Monday, with decreasing winds and some warming Tuesday and Wednesday.
